About me

A personal approach to yoga

Originally from Holland I moved to Bristol over a year ago. I am very exited to have moved to this vibrant city where independence and creativity is embraced. As an independent yoga teacher I believe Bristol is a great place to live and teach yoga.

Travelling around the world and doing various styles of yoga for the last 11 years I really fell in love with yoga in Indonesia. In Indonesia I followed different types of yoga classes from excellent teachers. The classes gave me peace, made me feel alive and most of all it made me see how it can compliment not only me, but people of all ages.  At that point my mission was to get an in depth understanding of yoga and learn to teach others.  In September 2013 I passed my 200hr Yoga Alliance Vinyasa teacher training.

I believe you will always remain a student and is next to my passion for yoga the reason that I  continue to go to classes,  get in touch with other teachers and study books to keep improving my own practice and my teaching qualities.

I teach Vinyasa flow for beginners and intermediate students. As a runner myself I offer a comprehensive practice to benefit runners and athletes alike. Also I offer a gentle flow yoga class for all body types and ages. I love to cater my classes for specific target groups and in the coming year I hope to start some classes in care homes for seniors and increase the classes at offices. I also want to start my yoga therapy training with the aim to help students better with specific physical and emotional challenges.
